Angela Gunn, CSR, holds the position of President of the Chartered Shorthand Reporters Association of Ontario, and is committed to convincing the Ontario Ministry of Attorney General to revisit the relatively new court reporting model implemented in June 2014, and is spearheading a movement for a practice directive to issue that real-time court reporters are once again available to litigants in the Ontario Courts, and to have Chartered Shorthand Reporters grandparented onto Ontario Courts ACT (Authorized Court Transcriptionist) List.

In addition to meeting the every-day court reporting needs of law professionals/stakeholders in York Region and the GTA, Angela has provided court reporting services in many other venues; many levels of the Ontario Courts, international and domestic arbitrations, American depositions, Ontario Municipal Board hearings, real-time court reporting/captioning for litigants and the Ministry of Attorney General in the Ontario Courts, criminal and civil, for long, complex trials.

After thirty years, Angela remains passionate about the provision of high-quality court reporting services, fascinated with the challenge of accurately typing syllable by syllable the words of her clients at speeds in excess of 250 words per minute, and committed to her role in the administration of justice. Angela has had the good fortune of reporting the words of President Bill Clinton, Senators of the Senate of Canada, the late Jim Flaherty, and other local, provincial and federal politicians, many Jurists, Orators and experts in their field.
